News in brief

1) 59% completed of de-mining progress in Jaffna.

De-mining in Jaffna peninsula has been accelerated to make the peninsula a mine-free zone by next couple of years.The SL army soldiers are engaged to remove mines to make a better place to tamil people of Jaffna.However The Government says it has completed 59% of the demining process in Jaffna.

2) UNP Wins the leading region of Sri Lanka.

21 out of 23 local government bodies have claimed the victory by UPFA except Colombo municipal council. The United National Party has obtained 107,957 votes with in the Colombo municipal council including 27 seats. UNP proved that they are strong opposition after got the power of Colombo which is the capital of Sri Lanka.

3) The issue of erosion converted as a conflict

4) Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra has been assassinated.

Presidential Trade Union Advisor and former Colombo District Parliamentarian Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra has been assassinated by Duminda Silva and his bodyguards during the shooting incident. Colombo District UPFA MP Duminda Silva seriously wounded and admitted to the Sri Jayawardanapura hospital. The shooting incident has occurred near the IDH junction in the Mulleriyawa area around 3.30 pm.

Fukushima children receive thyroid tests.

Japanese health workers have begun checking more than 300,000 children living near the Fukushima nuclear plant for thyroid abnormalities. The Fukushima plant was crippled by the earthquake and tsunami in March which killed 20,000 people.

Mumbai Indians make champions league T20 history.

The Mumbai Indians secured the Champions League Twenty20 title yeastaday with a 31-run victory over the Bangalore Royal Challengers in an entertaining final in Chennai. James Franklin was the top scorer and he posted 41 runs to the Mumbai Indians score card. Within the 20 over’s Indians all out for 139 runs. TM Dilshan was the only man who made a good start with quick 27 for the Bangalore. They all out for 108 runs and within 19.2 over’s. Harbajan Sing and Lasith Malinga picked up important wickets for the Mumbai Indians. Malinga was named for the golden wicket taker and the player of the champions league series.

Est/mid shots of damaged vehicle	An accident occurred besides the Survey Department in Narahenpita a short while ago. The broken branch of a Boo tree has fell down top of the four vehicles which were parking in Asiri hospital car park.	00' 20''
CU of damaged cars and interviews of people	Only one person has hospitalized and four vehicles have crushed due to the incident and one of them has completely damaged. Environmental police have reported that the Bho tree is older more than 200 years and this was the 2^nd an incident within last couple of years. ( Interviews with damaged car owners)	00'40''

I' am here right now besides the survey Department in Narahenpita where banch of the Sri Kirula Boodiya fell down on top of four vehicles in the Asiri car park at 9.30 this morning. Four vehicles have crushed and Environmental Police should take the responsibility for not to let this kind damage happen over and over again.

The Queen Movie Critique

The Queen mainly based on the Royal Family in United Kingdom and how they were dealt with the death of Princess Diana. The movie begins after the 1997 British General Election and Tony Blair appointed as the new Prime Minister in United Kingdom. He was young and the inventor of something fresh and exciting called new labor.

After several months later the world wakes up to the shocking news that Princess Diana, the divorced wife of Prince Charles has died in a car crash in Paris. The world, the British public, and then the sympathetic tributes pour in – flowers are stacked up outside the gates of Buckingham Palace. But Buckingham Palace is empty. The Royal family members were spent their usual summer holidays. The Queen has no reasons to change their mind and plans because she was no longer a member of the Royal family. Charles was immediately dispatched to paris to bring the Diana’s dead body. British tabloids become inflammatory about the lack of a statement from the Royal Family.

Tony Blair was the man who tried to change the mind and give lot of advices to the Queen and she was rejected all things at all the time. In that case the Royal Family's ratings plummeted, Blair's popularity increased. Blair called to the Queen and asked her televised address to the public about the fly a Union flag at half mast over Buckingham Palace, and speak to the nation about Diana's life and legacy.

Finally the Queen accepted it and she was addressed the public about Diana’s life and legacy. She was Described Diana as "an exceptional and gifted human being. Two months later, Blair visited to the Buckingham Palace for a weekly meeting.

In this movie actors and actresses did their characters well. The Director Stephen Frears was considered about beautiful shots and camera angels as well as the naturality of this movie.
